I thought to myself that this person may or may not be emotionally attached to me so if I do not tell them that I'm leaving it may leave them devastated if they never see me again without letting them know.

They didn't have to because I already spoke to someone else about my confusion as to what's going on and when can I start cleaning but they just came out of no where and apologized and informed me of what's going on etc. in a really kind way.
